１５０年前の京都のひなまつり

今日は花の節句、雛祭り。

京都では、女子の健やかな成長を祈るよりも、平安の頃から続いた「ひいなあそび」「ひなあそび」という側面が強く残っていたようです。

長松寺に、長松家が護持してきた「雛人形」が残っています。

開導聖人に嫁がれた栄女がお持ちになったとお聞きしています。

開導聖人のお書き入れがあります。

「これは長松えい子のもてあそび」

ですから、ほぼ１５０年前の、京都にあった雛人形さんです。

数十年ぶりにお飾りした長松寺の雛人形。

京都らしい、美しいお顔をしています。

小さいお茶碗や器、本格的なかまどまであります。

長松家では、これらを使い、本当に火を入れたりしながら「おままごと」をされたそうです。

ご飯を炊いたり、お汁を作ったり。

この雛人形で、特に女の子は日本女性らしい「こころ」や「おもてなし」の精神を学んでいたのだと思います。

長松家にとって、桃の節句、「ひなまつり」は京の都に伝わってきた「遊び事」「学び事」だったようです。

Behind the curtain “Hina Dolls having owned by Oei”

If you know about Japanese cultures well, you may know the fact which we Japanese people with girls set up dolls for the Doll Festival on March 3. In other words, the 3rd of March in Japan is called Momo-no-Sekku or Peach festival. Additionally the festival has the other name “Hiina festival”, because it seems that it had held as one of recreations. After that, the festival day also had the other meanings such as the day praying for the peaceful growth of children.

There are Hina dolls owned by Oei at the temple. Her doll set includes a small basket, plates and utensils. It means that hers can be said a set for playing house. Interestingly, all of cooking equipments are REAL ones. So, you can use a rice-cooker for rice and a pot for miso soup like we do in our everyday lives although all of them are very small and cute.

At the Peach Festival, girls wore beautiful Kimonos, had cuisine made by them, and played with dolls. In these activities, they learnt Omotenashi ( おもてなし / means to treat or entertain someone sincerely and warmheartedly). for guests, cooking methods and manners from their parents.

150 years have passed since Hina dolls were with Oei at the temple. You can see them NOW at the temple!

お栄さまのひな人形

やっと寒かった冬から優しい陽の光がさす３月３日は桃の節句で、女の子のお祭り、ひな祭りです。

ひな祭りはひいな祭りとも言い、元はおままごとなどの「遊び事」として行われていたようです。その後、子供の無事成長を願うなどの意味をもたせたのです。

お栄さまのひな人形は小型の竈や食器等があり、おままごととしてのものです。

かまどに火を入れお釜でご飯を炊き、鍋で汁物を作る、全てが小さく可愛らしい物ですが本物です。

桃の節句に女の子はみな、綺麗な着物を着て自分たちで作った料理を頂き、お人形で遊びました。その中で親からお行儀、料理、お客さまへのおもてなしを遊びながら学ぶのです。
