ウェサックのネパール

妙深寺ネパール別院のウェサック祭。ブッダジャヤンティとも呼ばれる5月の満月の日。

ブッダが生まれたことを祝うお祭りが特に南伝仏教国のスリランカやタイなどで行われます。

スリランカでも街中にランタンを飾り、一年で一番美しい時を迎えていました。

ネパールでもウェサックの満月の夜、題目塔がライトアップされていました。あまりに美しい。素晴らしい。

子どもたちのお看経の姿も素晴らしいです。

Vesak Festival at Myojinji Nepal Branch. The full moon day in May, also called Buddhajayanti.

Festivals celebrating the birth of Buddha are held especially in Sri Lanka and Thailand, which are southern Buddhist countries.

Even in Sri Lanka, lanterns were displayed all over the city, and it was the most beautiful time of the year.

Even in Nepal, HBS Shanti Dharma Stupa was light up on the night of the full moon in Vesak. Such a beautiful, it’s so so wonderful.

I was deeply moved by the sight of the children chanting the Odaimoku.
